This updated take on the classic trestle dining table is visually light and minimal, while carrying sophisticated details and clever joinery. The leg structure and stretchers are connected using handcrafted, removable wooden pins that are influenced by traditional mortise and tenon joinery techniques. Packed flat and easy to assemble, the table uses a unique and thoughtful approach to knock down furniture. Drawing inspiration from the elegant simplicity of the Shakers, Børge Mogensen’s Shaker Table and Japanese woodworking, this pill shaped table is equally at home in traditional and modern spaces.
