Clipping Coffee Table
The Clipping Coffee Table translates a digital graphic principle into physical form. Its design references the clipping mask—a tool used in digital design where an upper layer defines the visible limits of those beneath it.
Here, the tabletop acts as the mask. Beneath it, parallel rectangular legs are skewed and abruptly truncated by the silhouette above. The resulting composition reads as both structure and illusion—an optical play of repetition, depth, and shadow that shifts as the viewer moves around the piece.
